We just celebrated DS' first. He got so many gifts... we didn't worry too much about a gift from us. That being said...
-PBK Anywhere Chair is great!
-PBK Carolina Chair and School House Desk-- a little old for him, but he can use it with us sitting with him.
-Little People anything
-Wiggles anything
-His absolute favorite gift was a Thomas the Train tent/tunnel that my sister bought at Target for under $15. It says ages 3 and up, but DS is constantly hiding in it, saying choo choo. I'd take a picture, but DH and DS are visiting the FIL and they took it with him.
