My in-laws want to get DD a tricycle for her first birthday (my idea). We looked at TRU and saw some Kettlers and the RF Ultimate Family Trike. My MIL works for a company that can get the RF at a very low price, but now I think we really want a Kettler. Is it really that big of an issue if it doesn't last forever? I mean, yes, I want to look cool at the duck pond and the wildlife center, but a good deal is a good deal. I just don't know how to justify the huge cost difference to my MIL when she can get the RF at something like 5% over cost.
I think what I need are some RF horror stories.
I know I can count on you all!
Thanks,

Kathryn

Look up the radio flyer trike on amazon.com and read the reviews. That is what convinced me to go with the TRU Kettlers.

Ditto for me. I figured RF was fine but checked out reviews and changed my mind. I agree it doesn't have to last forever, but I also didn't want a piece of junk my child would have a difficult time riding.

I wanted to get a Radio Flyer Trike until I read the reviews of them. Here is the link to the amazon.com reviews http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005BRH9/qid=1094768984/sr=8-11/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i11_xgl21/104-0966914-3150338?v=glance&s=toys&n=507846
