We would be totally lost without our Comfort Silkie. I have several of them so that we are never without one. They have several more products that I am interested in trying as well. So far we have 6 silkies, a cover me twice blanket (it is the best blanket) and I am looking to get a heavenly silkie. The products last and wash so well. Jackson has had his first silkie since he was born and it gets washed at least twice a week and still looks good. The people at the company are great so I was thinking of calling about a coop but wanted to check for interest.
Here is their web site:

Let me know what you think.

Audrey looooooooooooooves her silkie too! She will not sleep without it. Fortunately we have a backup silkie :) Sure, I'd be interested in buying another one of their products! I agree that the quality is outstanding.

They make a great infant swaddler. I have bought this for a few of my friends when they had their babies along with the silkies and they loved it. I wish I had one when Jackson was a newborn.

Me, me, me!! I've been looking at this site a lot lately. A question, what silkie do you folks own? Will DS be happy with a basic silkie or should I get something fancy like the cloud silkie? Also, has anyone , used their swaddler? i was going to get a Miracle blanket for my SIL, but the swaddler is a really great price.

Thanks Tara!

I would get the original Comfort Silkie. They are perfect for small hands to cuddle, easy to throw in the diaper bag and easy to wash. My MIL bought Jackson one like the cloud and it just wasn't the same. I love their flannel blankets too. They are big and so soft and because it is similar to Jackson's silkie he will actually tolerate me covering him with it. I am going to order the heavenly silkie for him now that he is getting older. I think he would really like to snuggle with it at night. My friends who have the swaddler loooove it! I wish I had one when Jackson was a baby.

I would be interested too. I'm on the hunt for something that DS will attach too and maybe this will work.

I called about the co-op but the CS lady told me I should send an email to the owners. I just got around to sending it last night so hopefully we will hear something soon.

Thanks so much Tara. I'm really excited about this! I'm guessing I should get two silkies for DS in case something gets lost?

I heard back from the company and they are looking in to it. They wanted to find out how co-ops work. Hopefully I will find out more tomorrow. I wonder if I should post this in any other forums relating to bedding and blankets?

They look awesome, but DS does not have an attachment to any toys (to sleep with, etc) and does not seem to need one. Will this need for a security item come later? He never really had any seperation anxiety or stranger anxiety.

He just turned one last week. Should I get the Heavenly Silkie and use it instead of a blanket as the weather gets colder or is that not what it should be used for...I am a little clueless here. Is it the same as the The Original Soft and Silkie Security Blanket, just bigger?

Thanks for your suggestions!
Cheryl

I think every baby needs a silkie ;). It is hard to say if your son will become attached to it because kids go through stages. I think it is always worth a shot. I want to get a heavenly silkie to use as a blanket for Jackson. We love our cover me twice blanket, but I think it would be so great to be covered in that silkie feeling all over. There is nothing wrong with starting out with the Heavenly Silkie and seeing if he takes to it. If he does you may want to order a smaller one for travel. If not, you have a great blanket to use!

BTW...I am still waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully tomorrow.

Sweet! I was just online looking at buying a backup. I would be getting 2 - a comfort silkie and a heavenly silkie.

Avery LOVES this, and I like having a small version of her blanket that she doesn't trip over.
