Are there any toys /aids that can help a baby to learn to walk?

Bottom line, IMO, no. Baby will do it when he is ready and not a moment before.

That said, pre-walkers often enjoy push toys - Colin had a Fisher Price push toy that he loved at that stage, but I don't know that it helped him learn to walk. He also loved cruising furniture and coffee tables.

My son loved to push around an empty clothes basket, and I think it helped him. Once he could stand steady and cruise, he pushed it from couch to couch in the livingroom and it gave him the feeling of walking freely. A trick I used to get him to walk on his own was he would hold one end of a ruler and I'd hold the other. We'd walk along together and then I'd let go of my end of the ruler. He didn't realize I had let go, and since then he was walking on his own.

DS pretty much figured it out on his own. We do own the FP stride to ride toy that Lori mentioned. DS loved it and still plays with it. We got it when he was 8 months.

I agree that kids will learn to walk when they are ready and it's not necessary to provide a tool to aid them in learning. However, a fun one that pre- and early- walkers like is the Radio Flyer Deluxe Walker Wagon. It's sturdy, has a classic look and is also fun for kids to put stuff in and take stuff out of, which is also something they love to do around the same age.
