DS is 18M, almost 19M old. I ordered and just received the Kettler from the most recent co-op. I can't get DS to sit on it long enough to push him around! Great....

Is there hope? I'll keep trying. On one hand i'm thinking to myself I waited too long..on the other hand i think he just wants to run/walk by himself!

TIA!

What a bummer! Did you get the safety belt attachment? The only way we can get Gabe to sit in one place is if he's trapped down!

Yes, I have the safety belt! I'm hoping the bell will be an attraction..he did get the hang of that!

Laura T'ster is this way too at times...I Think it is just that they want to run at times, I"ve actually wondered if the strapping him in causes it. NO advice but don't let it upset you I suspect you'll get plenty of use out of it if not now later when he rides it himself.

My ds doesn't love his as much as I want him too. I will ask him if he wants to go for a ride with it and he says "no, want to go in the wagon". My ds is 2. I usually strap him in and say "lets go" and then he has fun.

DD used to sit on hers in the garage and beg to go out. Now she would rather push it around the neighbourhood. So that is what we do. We take a doll for a ride until she gets tired, then she rides home in style. She's an inch away from being able to use the pedals, so I figure her interest will pick up again then. This is still her favourite toy from her 1st b'day hands down. Don't worry, I am sure you will get years of use and fun out of yours!

I'm certain my DS would not have enjoyed his at all at that age. Even now at 28 months, he can't quite get the hang of making it go by himself, so his interest is limited. Wait a while and try again, is my advice!
