This week TRU has buy 2 LeapFrog products, get 1 free so I’d like to take advantage of it. I know we want to get DS the LeapStart Learning Table for Christmas (he’ll be 8 months) and then maybe either the Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set or the Phonics Radio for later. Does anybody have any other suggestions??

Thanks!

I'm getting the Leapfrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set, Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set, and the Phonics Radio. I'll give him the animal set now and the other two are for Christmas. What a great sale, because it's buy 2 get 1 free, AND free shipping!!

We have the Learning Table which was a big hit with my daughter from about 7-14 months. Lately, she seems less interested (phase? who knows!) She still loves "Baby Tad," he sings 6 different songs when you push buttons on his overalls.

We are ordering the 2 fridge magnetic sets (letters and farm) and the phonics radio because they got great reviews on Amazon.

Hands down--the LeapStart learning table and the Baby Tad. Those are the toys my DD plays with every day, without fail. :)

I love the Leapfrog toys. The sounds are pleasant and not irritating to hear as the FP toys. DD still loves the learning table, baby tad and the shopping cart. I just got her the Little Touch Leap Pad for a plane trip and it's currently her fave.

I don't like the drum and she hasn't decided if she likes the radio yet.

In addition to the LF Table, the basketball hoop is a big hit in our house - and this has been since he's been about 6-7 months old.

We have the Alphabet Pal, the Drum, the table & the mini Tad.

Nolan likes them all, even the little Tad, it's all of 6-8" tall. His favorite is the table by far! It's from last Christmas & at 14 mos he still plays w/it.

How are the reviews on that?

PS. There is a 2nd code for 10% any LF toy of $20 or more, it's 912243. You can stack the codes. HTH!

I have it. I got it for my ds when he was about 18 mos. for xmas last year. I am not impressed with it. I thought he would love it, be he doesn't. When I take it out to use it, I find it a pain to work. You have to hit go on every page before it starts, and you have to press hard. My ds likes to turn the pages faster than it talks. I just think it is not easy for him to use. I wanted him to be able to touch the fire engine and hear the noise, but it was too hard for him to press. We hardly ever use it and I never bought any extra books with it. I read some other reviews on amazon.com that were similar to my feelings.

All are a hit in our house. I sing the letter song all the time, those of you that have them know what I mean!

The drum never has received the love that the other toys have received.

I did now know there are other magnet sets!

Ooooh.. I saw this today at TRU. They didn't have one out for us to play with. I'm wondering if I should get it for Christmas. IS it as fun as it looks??

Thanks Chelsey! I got the same feedback from mom's at another BB. They all recommend the 3yr & up model though. I might try it w/the sale, looks like a good price. :D

The day after I wrote this post, my ds took it out of the toybox and started carrying it around with him and playing with it - I was shocked!

DS has really enjoyed Leapfrog toys and they aren't annoying. His favorites are the Leapstart Learning Table, Phonics Radio and Learning Hoops. We're so so about the Little Touch Leap Pad and the Discovery Ball. DS really plays with the shopping cart at a friend's house but seldom uses it at home. And, he doesn't push it around (although at my parents, he pushes my shopping cart from childhood all over the place).
