There was some discussion about these books a while back. I plan on ordering one for my DD for the holidays.
I wanted to pass on an email that I got from the company.

Hi Rebecca

I love those books, I wondered if you knew what happens if you have a long name, is it just more pages, Olivia's last name is 9 letters (and an extra 6 if we used her middle name also). Would it be more expensive- it seems a little unfair on short name people if not!

Thanks Rebecca, I have never heard of these before!

Lucy, It says you can use a combo of 15 letters total for first & middle names. It have space for a 15 letter last name too.

Interesting tidbit---the author's one of my good friend's sisters in law. :D She started writing the books just a few years ago and they've really taken off for her. :D

Bummer for those of us who name our kids names longer than 15 letters tho... Adrienne Margaret is 16... :D

I'm pretty sure that's okay. There are 15 letters for first name or first name middle name and 15 additional letters for the last name.

Argh...I just ordered and didn't have the code for free shipping :( Could've saved $10. I was just going to post about the author signing, but I didn't know there was a code. Guess I should've checked here first!

Hi everyone!

Am so glad I looked here for a coupon! Saved me some money!

By the way, I found this on their website for those whose babies have LONG names like mine --

What if the child's name is longer than the maximum number of letters allowed in the book?

Our website states that there is a maximum of 15 letters allowed for the combination of the first and middle names, and another 15 letters allowed for the last name. However, we can manually change our production process to allow a maximum of 18 letters for the child’s first and middle names combined. We can manually change our production process to allow a maximum of 16 letters for the last name. Please send an email to [email protected] after your order is placed, to alert us that your order is slightly outside of the maximum that is stated on the website.

Thanks for posting this. I bought these books for 3 of my grandchildren and now need a fourth. This is just my opinion but I think the book gets too long and repetitive if you use the middle name.

Thanks! I thought about something like this a long time ago, but never really pursued it. I just ordered one for Kaya's second birthday.
