I'm considering a chenille rug from The Company Store to to cover my hardwood floor in what will soon be a playroom. I think I'd prefer a wool rug, but I like the price and colors of this one. I'm wondering if it will be too thin/flimsy for a playroom. What do you think?

It's cute, but you might want to find out how much it costs to have it cleaned before spending the money. My experience is that rugs are VERY expensive to have professionally cleaned, so unless you are willing to keep spending that money, you might want to find something more durable and kid-friendly.

ETA: We used to have a rug over our hardwood floors in our family room (the main play area in the house) and removed the rug - Colin likes playing on the smooth surface much better (cars roll better, etc.)

Thanks...You are right about the cleaning issue. Had not thought of that. I was just thinking I should protect the floor, and a rug would make for a softer landing when he tumbles.
