an offer for the FP playmat came with a recent purchase of the FP LP park/swings set. i am considering sending away for it, but wanted to know if it's worth it? it costs $4.99... if you have one, what do you think?

I've been wondering the same thing. Thanks for posting this question!

I did send away for it. I think DS is a little young so its tough to say if its worth it. He is 13 months and just pushed it around the floor (I don't have carpet). It is pretty thin and you have to position the LP toys around the outside. I know I'm not much help, but if he actually ever starts to play with the LP instead of chewing on them I may have more to add.

Hi,
I ordered the playmat when Meghan was around a year old but she was too young to play with it then. Now that she is 2 we use it with her farm, garage and house (that's about all that will fit comfortably). We've acquired quite a few more sets since then (mommy is a little people fanatic) so she doesn't play with this every day but she does enjoy using her imagination with it. I really have a problem when it comes to these sets. I'm going crazy trying not to buy the new discovery village (I think that's what it is called) because we've already got the fun sounds train that's kind of similar. Anyway, sorry I've gone way off topic here :-)

jenn, no worries! DH and i are the same way! we have very little restraint when it comes to LP! and DH is counting the days until DS is old enough to play FP geotrax together!

thanks for the feedback!

hmm... i wonder if we'll have the same problem... my DS is not that much older than your's, and he plays with them equally as much as he mouths them!

phew, it's good to know I'm not alone :-)
Meghan was just playing with her Geotrax set today with DH. We got that for her last christmas when it was deeply discounted or I would have waited until this year. She was too young for it then but loved to watch it go around. Now she likes to make all the train noises and make it go. That thing has so many additions to it I could see myself going nuts with that. But I have shown much restraint in the Geotrax arena, we only have the main set and I don't plan to add to it. (YET!)

I sent away for it and never got it. They cashed my check back in May. I called them about six weeks ago and supposedly they were going to "send me another one". I never got it so time to call again!

I got it and personally, was not impressed. I know it was only $5, but I guess I expected more b/c I thought it was like a "special" deal b/c you bought the FP sets - but nope, worth about $5 (if that).

I didn't like that you have to set the toys up around the outside either (we have hardwood floors).

I think it is in my garage sale pile (along with the Noah's Ark LP set that I hated and Jen never plays with)
