I'm thinking of getting DS a learning table for Christmas. There are so many different versions though, Fisher Price, LeapFrog.

What one do you have? Pros? Cons?

TIA!

We have two... a Fisher Price one (think there are two FP - the one we have does NOT play music) and the LeapFrog one. The LeapFrog one is AWESOME. It's educational... and he has different varieties of music that it plays based on which "page" DS turns the book in the center to. He just loves it and never seems to tire of it. The con to that table is the cost - it's more expensive than most.

The FP one is *okay*. He'll play with it on occassion but it definitely hasn't held his interest the way the LeapFrog Learning Table has. HTH.

We have the LeapFrog one. DD started playing with it aroung 4mo and really started enjoying about 5mo. She loves turning the page in the middle. She leaned standing holding the edge of the table. I would highly recommend it.

One of the best baby toy purchases we ever made was the Leapfrog Leapstart Learning Table. DS loved that thing for a long time. He started playing with it at 4.5 months (at Christmas) and loved discovering all the different ways to make sounds. There are so many different types of buttons, levers, etc. that it really holds a child's interest. Plus, he loved opening and closing the book. He eventually danced to the songs. There are many things to do and although there is music, I did not find it annoying. If there was any con it was the stability of the legs for a child just starting to pull up. The legs have been redesigned since ours was manufactured to address this issue.

The only other table that I've seen in action is the Playskool Airtivity Table at playgroup. The kids liked it, but didn't use it in the intended manner. None of the kids liked the tubes to actually stay over the air. Instead, they liked knocking them off the table and onto the ground. The mom who owned the table said that if her daughter played with it for very long she felt like she was in a casino because of all the music.

We have the same combo and I totally agree. The Leap Frog table is AWESOME. DD has used it virtually every day since she was 5 months old. We've deifintely gotten our money's worth out of this table.

We have the newest Fisher Price one. It's the Laugh and Learn table and it does play music (versus one a pp mentioned). My son plays with it throughout the day and loves it! The table is very stable for pulling up on.
