A while back I had posted asking whether folks liked having a high chair, or whether a booster seat would do the trick (while taking up less space). Aurora is 5 months old and we just started giving her her first little bit of solids--rice cereal and sweet potatoes so far.

We ended up deciding to try out the booster seat, and then get a highchair if we needed one, since we knew we'd be able to use the booster later, anyway. We got the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seat. It is wonderful! It is very comfortable for her (she's an early sitter), takes up no extra space in the house (it's on one of our dining room chairs), and we can take it with us to restaurants. She loves sitting at the table with us, and it keeps her SO much happier in restaurants. I definitely recommend this to anyone contemplating not buying a highchair. I doubt that we will see a need for one, and this booster was under $30. It also has a removable tray.

Anyway, thanks for the previous input, and I hope this helps somebody else!
