Lifespan of 1st baby gear...UPDATED

A list would be great, and whether you discontinued b/c of safety or weight issues. Or is there already a good thread?

DD is small (25%, 5 mo, 14 lb, 24 in), so I doubt I will be able to go by weight restrictions.

DS is 13 months. He was consistently in the 50th percentile for height and weight until his 12 month checkup. Now he is 15th% for weight and 67% for height

Jumper ------- We had a Graco bumper jumper you hang in the doorway. We started using it about 5.5 months and discontinued about 9 months. He would jump so hard I was afraid he would jump into the wall and smash a finger or his head. If we had that jumperoo maybe it would have lasted longer. Ours was given to us used so we didn't mourn it.
Exersaucer -------- started at 4 months, ended around 9

I regret not getting the FP rocker because that can be used up to 33 pounds. We loved the bouncy seat in the beginning but DS outgrew it really fast.

I would add the Baby Bjorn carrier (outgrew at 7-8 months) and the Baby Back Back- started using at 6 months. Oh and Exersaucer- from 3 or 4 m to about 6m.

I don't remember some of these, but I'll try! Alex got VERY big early (18 pounds at 4 months) even though he was only 7lbs5oz at birth. He was also sitting up fairly well by about 5.5 months, and a lot of these you have to stop when they're sitting up. So that being said...

Bouncy seat ------ Just stopped at 5.5 months. He can get his shoulder off the seat, and it's pratically on the ground.
Swing ------ stopped about 5 months - just not interested.

Bath tub ------ still using in the infant position
Infant car seat ------ still using and will until he outgrows by height soon.
High chair ------ We have a booster seat, not a traditional high chair. He's using it now.
Jumper ------- We've tried it, but he keeps crashing into the doorway. We need bigger doorways, I think.
