Hi, I am looking to buy some toys for pretend playing. I am looking to get a pretend school work (tests, stickers, papers, name tags, etc) and pretend vet medical kit. Any ideas of where to get good pretend kits like this?

Lillianvernon.com has some good pretend play items. I just looked and they do have a vet kit- haven't checked for the school work kit but they might.

Here is the link:

I would suggest a teacher supplies store for pretend school material. There are tons of real teacher supplies that little girls would love to play with. I had students in my kindergarten class who that is all they wanted for Christmas. You can get packs of nametags, notepads, charts, stickers, even workbooks. Most major teacher supply companies also have websites, Trend is one of them.
www.trendenterprises.com Also, I have seen pretend vet kits at places like TJ Maxx.

PP had great ideas. Also, your local Staples store usually has a teacher supply area with a lot of things to create a classroom.

Other ideas: ask your child's teacher (or neighbor's child's teacher) for extra worksheets before she trashes them. Also, all you really need is a bulletin board, chalkboard/easel, paper, crafts, desk/table and chair. You can play school with just that and make all the items for the classroom (like an alphabet chart, adding table, pictures for the room, etc.)

how fun!!

I just got the catalog for 'Toys to grow on" and they have some fun stuff, here are two kits that look perfect, if it's in the right age and price range.

Thank you everyone for the great responses. I am going to check them all out. One of you suggested Toys to grow on, those are the original ones I found and loved. I wanted to look around bec the items were kind of pricey and they are going to charge me 15.00 for shipping - I think that is a lot of $ for shipping. Thanks everyone for the great links!

Amazon has vet kits, as well as the school set mentioned by the previous poster. They also have doctor kits, tool kits, etc.:

Other sites I would recommend looking at:

AND
http://www.toys2wish4.com/pretendcareer.html
Which has this set:

I think I might end up getting these ones, although the school package at "toys to grow" looks really great. Thanks for all the links!
