I'm looking for something that they can pretend to play store in. My boys play store and restaurant all the time.

This is one from Pottery Barn Kids, but I was hoping to pay a little less than that. Has anyone seen any other options?

I saw a play store at Tuesday Morning earlier this fall. It wasn't as nice as the PBK one, but it was also less expensive.

Here is one from Nova Natural:

You might also want to consider play stands. That way you are not limited to a store. Your kids could play house, store, school...

Saw this one in person today. Really seems sturdy. I want their kitchen set as well so I was hoping someone might get a co-op going with them. I haven't shopped around for the best price so let me know what you find.

It was for $160 at a high end toy store, so I'd imagine $125 online.

Jessica- just wanted to let you know that I can never see the product attachments in your posts- I'm guessing it is because they are gif files instead of jpg. It might just be me and my computer, but it's possible others have the same trouble too.

(the store site is http://store.novapearl.com)

I thought I'd seen others around, but couldn't finad any more than these and what's already been posted.

I tried finding their kitchen set on the link you provided but didn't have any luck. Do you have a picture? I'd love to see it. I'm in the market for a kitchen set for ds.

Hmm, nope- that's weird. Even when I click the link, all I get is a blank page. I wonder if I should try a different browser? I can see all the other posts' attachments fine.

ETA: I tried Mozilla, and it says I can't view the files because they have errors.

In case you didn't see this.... Would really love to see the kitchen in this line but can't seem to find it on the site you posted the link for. Any chance you could post a picture of it? TIA

You can make a store very cheaply. I had one that my grandpa made as a kid, we LOVED it. It was a favorite toy for years, and now waits at my mom's for my kids to be old enough to really use it. If you get an inexpensive but sturdy bookshelf (the unfinished kinds are perfect) you can turn it into one. Add a sign on the "back" (the side that would go to the wall) with the store name for example Smith's Store. You can add a chalk board to it, paint it, add a canopy using dowels and a valance, etc. Cash registers can be found at places like Walmart and Target as can toy food, etc. A few baskets, some paper sacks, an assignment pad for reciepts and orders, maybe even a bell to call the checker and you are good to go.

HTH someone :-)

PS- Congratulations on the birth of the baby!!!

That sounds so awsome. Do you by any chance have a picture? I'd love to see it!
