What would you put in a Christmas stocking for an 11 month old baby? I can't put candy or nuts in it. Can you think of some fun toys that are small and cheap? Thanks.

How about one one of the vibrating teethers? Or, the snack net thing. I don't know what it is called but you unscrew the handle and put a piece of food in the net so that baby can eat many new things.

I love seeing everyone's ideas on this one! Here's what we're putting in:

personalized cloth diaper (to use as a rag/"lovey")
Gymboree rain stick
rattles from playstoretoys.com
Signing Times DVD
finger puppets
first box of animal crackers

Here's what we're putting in for DS, who will be 10 months at Christmas:

Brown Bear Brown Bear board book
Jumbo Crayons
Raffi CD
Lauri Berkner CD
A pack of Brio animals (4 smallish animals) I found at Kidsurplus.com

I still play on getting 1-2 bath toys such as a simple yellow rubber ducky and a wind up bath toy.

So far, that's all we have planned for DS's stocking. There isn't much room left somehow LOL ;)

I think you are thinking of a baby safe feeder. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000056JCY/104-3529647-9610330?v=glance

Excellent suggestions above. I would go with the same snack suggestions - packs of animal crackers, goldfish and/or Teddy Grahams.

Books, CDs, videos, bath toys, cell phone, Sassy Wallet, Gertie ball or other ball, small vehicles, travel Magna Doodle, bib, teether and Baby Einstein traveling flashcards come to mind.

You have gotten lots of good suggestions. Target had some wooden puzzles that were small in the dollar section! They were nice for the price-$1!
