Need help with Leap Pad decision

For Christmas, I am planning to get one of the Leap Frog pads for my DS, but I am totally confused on which one to get. I would like to get one that has the books with the popular characters - Thomas, Pooh, Wiggles, etc. And, I want to get the correct age group. My DS is 27 months old and can already do Abc's, count to 10, and colors. Any advice would be much appreciated!

No answer for you but I am working on the same decision - except I already purchased both and am waiting to take one back. So far everyone's answers are different and fit their own situation. No advice, just commisserating!
