View Full Version : Opinions on Ryan's Room brand of toys
Could anyone that owns any of Ryan's Room brand of toys comment on the quality of them? (I just picked up the Ryan's Room mosaic blocks at Marshalls yesterday.) How do they compare to other wooden toys brands like Melissa & Doug, Brio, or Guidecraft?
TIA!

We only have one item from Ryan's Room, a fab wooden shape sorter that I absolutely love. It is so pretty and extremely functional. It is honestly one of my favorite toys. Because I have so little, I think I'm not the greatest authority, but I would say that it has seemed comparable to all the above, and the colors seemed better to me than Melissa & Doug.

I don't own any but I think they are beautifully made. The toy store I go to has a huge doll house that I linger at. I can't wait to buy it but DS is a little young yet.
That's awesome you found it at Marshalls. I usually check Ross once a week or so but I hadn't seen any thing there.

Another rave for the shape sorter -- it is beautiful! Oh, and DS likes it, too :-) We take a "less is more" approach to buying toys, and would definitely consider more from Ryan's Room.
Thanks for the comments. The mosaic blocks I picked up was a gift for a niece but maybe I should also get them for DS. :) This is the first time I have seen Ryan's Room stuff at Marshalls/TJMaxx. Hopefully they'll get some of the other toys in the future.

I think they are really well made wooden toys. We have a couple and they are absolutely gorgeous and I'd highly recommend them. MUCH better quality than Melissa and Doug.

We also really like the Ryan's Room brand. I just bought my DD the play tunnel at Marshall's from Ryan's Room. At Marshall's it was $14.99. I knew DD would love this since she loves going through the tunnels at Gymboree. This item was over 50% off from other retail stores.

We have the Easy Make Snake from Ryan's Room and it is one of our favorites. I agree with a pp about the colors; they are very vibrant!

I just bought that tunnel too! I ordered it from the TJ Maxx website since I'm too lazy to go over there and I was afraid I'd go over there and find out they didn't have any. Shipping was only $3.95 though so it was still a deal. I hope Conner likes it.

We bought the Easy make Snake from Ryan's Room for DS for Christmas and *I* can't wait to play with it. It's looks like a fun toy- and it is as cute as it can be! It's cuter than the online picture, IMO.

Littleman has wooden blocks by Ryan's Room ("Around the Blocks") and they're great!

LOVE them. I don't have anything by Brio or Guidecraft so can't offer a comparison, but I absolutely love Ryan's Room toys and think they are very well-made, very well-priced toys.
Just wanted to mention that I picked up the Ryan's Room Make a Shape from Tuesday Morning yesterday.
