I am looking for a clubhouse - liked the Little Tykes large plastic ones until I saw this Kidkraft one :) I love the fact that you can easily disassemble it and move it from room to room or outside for a short time (it reminds me of lincoln logs - the slats fit together)

Does anyone have it or have you seen it IRL? I have been googling all morning and so far dreamtimebaby.com is the cheapest. But I want to order it from someone who has it in stock, so I'll have to call them about that.

OR is there another clubhouse you recommend?

I saw it at Costco a couple of months ago and at Tuesday Morning two weeks ago. I loved the idea of it, but I don't think I would use it for kids under three. The model one at Costco was kind of shakey (I wasn't sure if that's just the way the playhouse is or if it was because every kid that comes to Costco had played in it and it had become shakey over time). Also, I'd be concerned about kids fiddling with the pieces and someone's fingers getting stuck between the slats. Hopefully someone who actually owns it can weigh in with their opinion!

Thanks Lisa! Do you remember how much it was at Costco and Tuesday Morning? I definitely don't like the idea that it is shaky - yuck!

I may just stick with the LT one for outdoors, but I really wanted something for them to play with inside - and we just dont' have room for the LT one indoors. I actually love the land of nod play tent and cushion, but they are out of pink until like April I think!

Guess I'll keep looking!

I think it was $120 at Costco, but I'm not positive. I don't remember the price of it at Tuesday Morning, but they had a bunch, and it was only 2 weeks ago, so maybe they still have some.

What about the PBK cottage? It's a frame with a cover, so it's probably pretty easy to take down and set up. http://tinyurl.com/5n4yw

Heartsong has some cute play tents similar to the Land of Nod one.

If you scroll down to the bottom left, there's a link for a fairy garden hideaway and from there you can get to the rose garden one, too.

Have you considered one of those nylon playhouses that pop up instantly? They're so easy to transport and set up. We have a tent and the girls LOVE it. They love to crawl in it and play peek a boo thru the window. Tinkertots.com has a great selection:

Ok, I realize I just wrote a novel, but hopefully some of this helps!

I posted asking this a couple weeks ago and I went ahead and got it. I put it up immediately (what the heck, he's getting other presents!)
I don't think it is flimsy. I think that it is not as tight construction if you were to nail it together. I bought it for inside use because in NY we have long winters. I like the fact that I can take it down and when he is old enough he can build it. Plus the windows are big enough I think that they will double as a puppet theater.
I have already moved it from one floor to another. Some sites say that it can be used for outdoors and I wouldn't, unless it wouldn't get rained on.
Abe loves it and that is what matters (he is 17 mos.).
The wood is like a light pine, not heavy. The pine does seem to be light and kind of cheap (like balsa wood).
Watch who you buy it from because some retailers got bad reviews (And I think that dreamtimebaby might be one, I cna't remember). I got mine from platinum gallery (or something like that)
