I've seen these small wood blocks with velcro circles (making them easy for a little one learning to stack) but I can't find them anywhere. Any ideas?

maybe check catalogs that cater to occupational therapists? (they work with fine motor skills and you might see something like what you are looking for in one of those types of catalogs).

You can buy small "dots" of velcro that are already adhesive-backed. I would probably look into buying some and making my own out of inexpensive alphabet blocks. It seems like it would be relatively simple if you can't find what you are looking for. Of course, I'm not sure exactly what you had in mind, so I could be off base.

Good luck! Maybe someone else will have more specific help for you. I didn't want your post to go unanswered though.

It's not wooden, but this toy is kind of cute...

I agree that buying your own and using stick-on velcro tabs might be the easiest way to go. You can buy the velcro circles at any fabric store.

They are not blocks, but Doug and Melissa sell cutable wooden food attachached with velcro. That is the only toy I have seen with velcro attached.

Thanks for the replies. They are actually a therapy toy that my son uses in his OT sessions. His therapist has had them a long time and can't remember where she got them. I was hoping someone here would know. I've thought about making them myself but the Ot was saying that the velcro keeps coming off when you do that. Her blocks have the velcro sort of set into the blocks - it's hard to explian but it works. Anyway, I may still have to make them....thanks! Happy New Year everyone!

What about magnetic blocks? They're not quite the same, but might be fun and serve a similar purpose:

I hadn't seen those Brio ones. They look great. Thanks! My little guy has global delays so he needs a little extra help in a lot of areas! I'm also about to post another question about a stuffed Mr. Potato Head with velcro features.
Thanks! happy New Year!
