What did your child get for the holidays? How old is your DD/DS?

I don't think I've seen anyone start a thread on this yet. It's always fun to see what others got as I'm always on the lookout for interesting and unique toys for DS.

DS is 16 months old and he got the following:

LP Discovery Village
A couple other smaller LP sets
Tomy Push and Go Thomas
Parents Magazine cellphone and PDA
MagnaDoodle equivalent from Battat
Fisher Price Singing Pop Up Pals
A bunch of board and regular books
A couple sets of clothes

I think the only toy that is going back to the store is the Singing Pop Up Pals. DS already has the one from Playskool and honestly, he hasn't been that interested in it at all. The Fisher Price one with the singing elmo, oscar the grouch, etc. is already driving me batty and DS only played with it very briefly in the box on the day he opened it. I don't have a receipt but hopefully TRU will take it back and give me merchandise credit.

All the books have been hits with DS. He loves to "read" and being read to.

Anna will be 2 next month. She got:

A huge Tonka dump truck

Whew! Please understand that Anna has 2 sets of grandparents and 5 sets of aunts and uncles who buy her stuff. I put some of the FP sets away until later this year. I can't believe she has a birthday next month and will come away with a similar haul, of what I don't know.

Ava (almost 1) got:

The Learning Home and pig were huge hits. She is warming up to the FP puppy and phone.

Since her birthday is only a couple weeks after Christmas, I kept it pretty minimal. She is getting some wooden puzzles, a pounding bench, a puppy pull toy, and some books for her birthday. Her big gift will be a Kettler in a few months when it's warm enough out to use it.

Paige didn't get much this year. We just purchased furniture for her "big girl" room so we can use the nursery for the new baby due to arrive in March. So I didn't buy much for her because I knew grandmas and aunts would be buying her stuff.

DD is 21 months and she got:

Apple Dumplin talking doll (strawberry shortcake)
Whiney the Pooh book - the kind with the talking buttons down the side
Shrek stuffed doll that is almost as big as she is
LeapFrog radio that teaches letters/alphabet

Ty beanie doll named "Bubbly Betty"
Wooden shape sorter that looks like a barn
Sesame Street camper set that has an RV, boat, 4 wheeler & some figures
A electronic saxaphone - totally annoying

And some cash for her savings account
