I think I'm better off finding something online since we don't have a mini-van. Anyone have this? http://www.littlekidstuff.com/tables_sets_combos_brio_thomas_compatible.htm
$184 for double decker train table with 55pc set. What's double decker mean?

I think they call it double decker, because the train set up is "in" the table, you can close the top, and use the top of the table as well. So you have 2 surfaces to use for play. Looks like a great idea...but I'm not sure how good that would be for the little ones. I know my son could not reach down in there yet, and it would be awkward even for older kids.

If anyone has it, they could give you a better idea, that is JMO...

Do you need a table? We have one but only because it was such a good deal at Costco. However, DS also likes me to set up trains on the floor and play that way. Why not just start out with a train set and see if your DC even likes it. If he does you can buy the table later. BTW, we fit the train table into our Toyota Corolla buy folding the back seats down so a mini van is a necessity :)

There's no way it would not get trampled through, thrown, etc. if it was just on the floor. That, and the sheer novelty of the table are what attract me.

How about this?
Wood color, two trundles, two wooden stools, and 120pc train set that is Thomas compatible. It's $229.95 with free shipping.
