My son is 15 months old and loves pushing things (kids plastic chairs, the ottoman, etc) across the room. Does anyone have a good push toy a toddler could use to push across the room? I am thinking of something like this. It would be perfect if it were not $134!

Anyone seen anything like this but cheaper?

Thanks,

Jessica.

Oh, that's really cute! What about a shopping cart? They come in a wide range of styles. DS loves his, and he loves to put stuff in it and take the stuff out again.

Another vote for a shopping cart. My son is almost 17 months old and we got him the Little Tikes one for Christmas. It was only $24.99 on sale at BRU and was a big hit with both Conner and my 3 year old cousin. He puts his lovey in it (his "baby") and pushes it around the room.

My son also loves to push around anything he can - bar stools, chairs, etc. This isn't exactly the type of thing you are asking about but he looooves the corn popper from Fisher Price - he pushes it around everywhere.

We got DD the Radio Flyer Walking Wagon. We paid $70 for it but I think you can find it cheaper on-line the website lists sellers. I wanted it because of its good looks, and the whole hold stuff thing.

I like the shopping cart idea as well.

For another idea, my mom got us this Parents' Magazine Around the block wagon. It has rubber wheels that are kind to our wood floors. The blocks themselves are wonderful, and DD has fun pushing this around the house. She puts her baby or one of her bears on it, and gives them a ride. Here's an online source, but I saw these at Target for like $40 after Christmas. It's very nice quality.

Santiago likes his Pottery Barn toy lawnmower. We bought it at the PB outlet for $11.

We have a Fisher Price walker that we bought at a yard sale for $1. It's the old school version of the one pictured here. The one in the picture below is called the Brilliant Basics Musical Activity Walker and is on buybuybaby.com for $19.99

This is a slightly different approach, but DS loves his Little Tikes Push & Ride Racer ride-on car. Push it, ride it, lots of different ways to play with it, and he still loves it at 21 months. When I'm vacuuming he imitates me by grabbing his car and pushing it around. :)

What about a doll stroller?
My dd likes to push things too (she is 15months old as well)..but her interest is fleeting and often changes... so I just let her push around whatever is there... her current favourite is a big rubbermaid box. I guess my point is, even if you didn't buy anything, i am sure your son will still find something to push. :)

We bought the Parents Around The Block Wagon last winter when our son was starting to pull up/walk, but I found that in our small house, he had trouble getting anywhere without running into stuff, and he couldn't really turn it on his own. That would be the problem I would see with the cute toy you posted. Unless you have a lot of space, I would go with something smaller.

We also have the Radio Flyer Walking Wagon, and it's one of DS's favorite toys. He likes pushing it around, putting toys in it and taking them out, and climbing in for a ride himself. Only thing is, he won't leave the sides on, so we had to take them off for now.
