Jay Jay jet plane toys?

I saw these for the first time today- very cute wooden planes with faces. Are these a hot item with kids? Is my 21 month old airplane lover too young to appreciate it?

Colin likes them, and I bet that Logan would, too. Not sure how hot they are - our TRU is clearing them out. But our Learning Express still carries them.

DS loves playing with them at the toy store. We don't own any...yet. I may have to head over to TRU. I would say that you would play with these at around the same age as trains. He may be a little young for them, but not for long. PBS shows the series Jay Jay the Jet Plane if you want to gauge his interest. DS's favorite characters are Jay Jay, Savannah and Big Jake.

I'm glad you posted this. Yesterday, I bought two sets of every Jay Jay toy they had at Toys R Us (one set for DS and one set for a present) yesterday. They had them discounted anywhere between 25% to 75%, and on top of that they have a buy 1 get 1 free offer. So the best deal was the Evan Firehouse that is regularly $19.99, clearanced for $4.98, so I ended up with 2 firehouses for $4.98. For $60, I got 2 main hangers, 2 kids hangers, 2 evan firehouses, 2 jay jays, 2 savannah, 2 tracys, 2 Big Jakes, 2 evans, and 2 snuffys.

After I got home, I got buyer's remorse thinking, maybe they were being clearanced because kids no longer like Jay Jay :-).
