Hello,

Does anyone know of any play mats that are like the puzzle mats but without the pop out pieces? I would like something that I can move around to different places throughout our house since we have wood floors. I got the shapes mat from One Step Ahead yesterday but already I can see the pop out pieces being a pain. Ds already tried to snack on one of the pieces.

Thanks!

You might want to try Ross. They had some play mats w/o the pop out pieces yesterday. They came in packs of 4 in multi colors.

Otherwise I think the Step 2 brand is your best bet .

The two Targets near us had them on clearance for about $10 for a pack of 6 pieces (18x18 inches). I just saw them last week. They were not by toys, though. They were near plastic storage containers in one store, and some other random area in the other store...

They also sometimes have them at Ross.

I've seen some plain cushioned mats that interlock (no alphabet on them) at Sam's Club.

I got some at Target. They come with outer edge pieces included (I seem to remember OSA's edge pieces are sold separately), though they're usually pulled up as chew toys. As Sue mentioned, they were located with plastic storage containers, in an aisle with primary-colored containers for children's storage.

Me too....this was my first thought. I think they were ~$15?

Yes, I got mine at Sam's. Yes, they were about $15. I also saw some at Home Depot, but they didn't carry them anymore when I went to buy them. You could check though.

Thanks for the info. I will check out Target or the Step 2 mats. I haven't heard of Ross but maybe that is a chain we don't have in my area. I knew this board would have the answer to my dilemma.

Thanks Moms!

in my pursuit of this step 2 mat i found them online at kidenergy.com (never ordered from there though) and since i'm looking to cover a larger area in my basement i see a set of 20 is $99 and covers an 8 x 10 area. don't know if you need that much but it works for me!
