dyeing silks scarves with Koolaid

I read the thread from awhile back.It was talking about the scarves not holding the bright colors.Has anyone been able to make these stay the bright dark colors?

I'm not sure how helpful I can be because I didn't read the other thread. Last spring I dyed silkies using easter egg tablets and added vinegar to the water as per the directions. I then baked them in the oven, on low, until they dried. I know they lost a little color, but they are still relatively bright.

Thanks.Were they bright primary colors or more pastels? Have you try washing them? I'm sure my kids we spill something on them so I'd need to wash them sometimes.
