My friend told me about the new LT sand and water table....it is just adorable.

Can anyone think of any negatives just by looking at it. Would DS be more likely to mix the water and sand sinc they are so close together? Are the compartments to small?

I like the idea that he could use this for dramatic play....but I really want it to be a SENSORY experience for him. He is pretty averse to some textures. TIA!

I think it is cute too. One positive is that I can see is growing with a child. In the beginnig it would be mostly sensory and then pretend play later on. I could see both my 2 and 5 year old enjoying it.

Although, I still think it is adorabel....I don't know that the compartments are big enough since I would love for DS to use it to play with his trucks and other sand toys. I guess I need to check it out IRL. Thanks for your opinion!

We just saw this at TRU today and DH insists DS *needs* it ;) For us, it seems to be just enough to manage with a little guy. I think any mroe space or sand and Connor could create a real disaster.

It is adorable--I love the castle! I'm not sure what the measurements are on LT one, but we have the Step2 version (http://www.step2.com/index.cfm?stp2ssid=8840A10A-A251-4082-881D6CCEA58290A5&action=details&product_id=1304&category_id=1000&subcategory_id=1000), and there is a decent amount of playing room. We never used sand in ours last year (only water and toys) so I'm not sure about the mixing, but I'll bet that's just part of the fun too.

I agree, tey look a little small. I bought the LT when they were clearing them out at Target last season. My mom wants one at her house this summer, so I guess we can have both. :)

I like the Step 2 one as well, not to mention the price, but I have seen some other, although more expensive ones on-line.

For example, here is a cool one that you might like
