Well, you can see what kick I'm on....Holztiger, Barclay blocks, and now in search of a Waldorf doll. Boy, have I missed out by not checking in on a regular basis. : ) I Googled "Waldorf dolls" and got many hits, but would love to hear who you are buying from. Happy to give a good doll maker my business. I'd like one for my daughter's first birthday in May. Not sure how long it takes to have these made...

Thanks!

OK, I did a lot of research on this, and by far the best dollmaker is Steph at www.dollsbynature.com
She is amazing. You can see DD's custom doll here http://middayfaire.com/gallery_open.php?id=247&vid=13
The first one. She is so beautiful and well made. It far exceeded my expectations. I received a few others in various swaps, and they were all very nice but nothing compared to this one.

I have also been eyeing http://www.whereswaldorf.com/

I love the dolls at Where's Waldorf, and the mama who makes them seems so nice! They are well-priced for such great handmade toys. I want a nursing mama and a toddler boy, FOR ME, but I will share with DS, too. Oh, and her dolls nurse, using magnets! She has smaller dolls for smaller kids, too.

I personally think Joys is the best out there, and several other Waldorf dollmakers agree. But there are many, many others I also love!
