DD has just gotten to that fine-motor age where she's fascinated by buttons (both the kind you push and the kind you button clothes with) and sliders and doors and moving beads along wires. I want to get her a fiddle-with-things toy, preferably something in the board line (seems portable, and we're going on a long plane trip in April). I'd prefer something not battery powered -- I'm sure she'd love making it make noise, but I'd go insane too fast.
