Just thought I'd start a comprehensive thread of American-made wooden toys. It seems like so many of them are imported from Germany. But since I live in a state where the lumber industry is huge, I know that there are a number of wooden toy-makers around here. So post any links you have to favorite wooden toys that are made in the States. The shipping certainly has to be cheaper! :-)

Wanted to add that I am not affiliated with any of these products. I just like them!

A local boutique sells these. DS has the farm tractor (small zooms) and I just bought the cargo carrier (medium zooms), although he hasn't played with that one yet. The pieces are very smooth and nicely made and are a reasonable price.

I know there's been some discussion about these kitchens in the past. They also have other wood toys.

I tried to get a co-op started on these kitchens before the holidays, but we didn't have enough interest. Please let me know if anyone is interested in trying again. I have seen these IRL and they are beautiful.

They have absolutly beautiful trains, not like the Thomas though. They are much bigger. They are also the maker of the name trains that have won one of the best toys of the year award. They were recently featured on the travel channel.

We're in the market for a kitchen. I'm stuck on deciding between the willowtoys kitcen, E&A, and the small world toys stove/sink one piece kitchen. I'd be interested in a co-op possibly! :)

I'm debating between a kitchen from Toysfromthebarn and or one from ElvesandAngels. I like the ones from Toysfromthebarn, and I love their tool bench...If we did a co-op with them, that would be great.

I'm having a hard time figuring out which kitchens I like the best. I love the E&A ones and the others that are similar (toysfromthebarn, etc). If you're leaning towards the toysfromthebarn one, would you mind sharing why? Is there a feature, or features, that you prefer?

Email Toys in the Barn and tell them a friend told you about their discount. I read over on AMity's message board about them, and a Mama over there told me about the discount. See what they have to say.

I was actually thinking I might want a toysfromthebarn one in case I want to get DS the workbench later, since they would match. I like the look of their kitchen (# of shelves, the oven), but I'm the world's most indecisive person, so I probably don't have any thoughts that will help you decide.
For the E & A kitchens, I like Victoria's kitchen, since it has a stove and dishwasher (and my DS loves our real dishwasher), and a few shelves. I also like Suzanne's kitchen because of the little fridge, but then I don't really like that it just has plain cupboards instead of an oven or dishwasher. I like the toysfromthebarn one for most of the reasons I like Victoria's kitchen.

I might be interested in one of these. I'm debating between one of these, one from toysfromthebarn, and then an E & A one. Do you have any idea how much of a discount we could get for the co-op?
Thanks.

For some reason I was under the impression that Toysfromthebarn sold the A&E kitchens...no?

In any case we bought Ds' at toysfromthebarn and are very happy.
