A friend of mine is prego. I have volunteered to gather info on slings for her since she is not "fanatic about baby products" like I am. lol. She has failed to listen to my advice and got herself a Graco travel system, though she claimed that her mom bought it for her when they went shopping at BRU. I am worried that if I don't intervene soon she is going to get herself a sling that she hates, and she will not be able to enjoy the benefits of slinging her baby. Her DH will be the main person who takes care of the baby and is planning on going out and about with the baby. (SIGH: these young kids have all these fantasies... LOL) Is there a forum on BBB? (I didn't see one but thought I'd ask).

Thank you much!

Cheers, Lin

Hi Lin!!! Haven't heard from you in a while since Disneyland! Glad to "see" you back on the BBB! Hope work's been good.

Re: Slings. The BBB definitely has a forum for carriers: http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=62

That's where I got info on which sling to buy for myself. I ordered one from Rev. Jan. Very reasonable and her slings are comfortable. Her website is: http://www.sleepingbaby.net

Another site that has great reviews, a message board to post questions and has a listing that compares many of the carriers out there is this one:

Good luck in your search!

Lin, go into the sling forum (Out & About maybe), about halfway down the BBB page of forums here. They have all kinds of info and can answer your questions!

Definitely visit the Places to Go:Carriers forum. There's a ton of information and a new Babywearing 101 at the top. You might end up regretting that you volunteered for this task! Finding the right sling (or wrap, or ABC, or pouch...) can be incredibly confusing! No matter what, though, she'll probably be better off with one you pick out than anything she finds at her local BRU!

And, by the way, I still adore my beige Kecci!
