My twins are crawling all over now and I need to start gating off parts of the house. We have extra wide hallways and doorways though and I have no idea where to find gates that will work.

the smallest opening is 46" and the biggest is 49". Two of them have to have a walkthrough gate. I was really wanting the hands free one from 1st years but their website says it only goes to 44". It needs to be operable by a 3.5 year old so she can get to the bathroom when necessary.

If anyone has any ideas, HELP!

So if no one knows a specific gate, does anyone have ideas where the best place is to start looking?

http://www.babycatalog.com often has really good prices on gates. I think you will need to go with a Kidco. They are expensive but will allow you to open up that wide with the extensions.

For your 46" opening maybe something like this will work. If you buy it from BRU, you can take it home and ee if you 3.5yo can work it. If she cannot they will take the return no problem. http://tinyurl.com/6gres
