Nothing fancy, just functional. I don't want to worry that it will get ruined w/ food, marker, etc. We had a cheapo vinyl folding table w/ 4 folding chairs, but the chairs were just recalled. DH wants to get rid of the table too, just in case. Any ideas?

Do you live near an Ikea? I really like the wooden table and chair set there and its pretty cheap.

We got this wooden table and chair set from Ikea.

We've had it for about 2 months now and have been very happy with it.

I plan on going the unfinished route so that I can paint/decoupage them however I want. Unfinished furniture isn't as cheap as you would hope, but it tends to be well made and solid wood so it will last.

We just got Diego the Little Tikes table and chairs set. I was only 30.00 at Walmart. I got it there b/c they carry the red/blue set and those colors match his berchet kitchen. I would have gone the wood route but DH was not convinced that we needed anything fancy......hth

DD's aunt and uncle bought an unfinished end table and finished and painted it for her. They found two small wooden chairs to match, and it's adorable - very sturdy and durable as well.
