First Year or Fisher Price?

I'm looking for one to keep in DD's grandparents' place. We don't get to visit them very often, maybe once a year, since they live in New Orleans and we in Boston. So I want one that DD will fit for a few years. I like the looks of Fisher Price and that there are foot-extensions so that it can serve as a little individual chair. But I'm not sure how many years it can be used for. The First Year on the other hand has several adjustable positions so may still fit DD few years from now. Does anyone have either one?

Thank you so much in advance!

I've got the First Years one with no complaints and my sister has two. My nephews at almost 3 (34lbs 40") still fits fine, and comfortably as does his brother, 14 months and 23lbs-ish.

You've got two trade offs, First Years has the recline and somewhat comfier seat while the Fisher Price is foldable and comes with two trays. However if it's not going to get much use (or going to be used in restaurants), the folding option on the Fisher Price might be a deciding factor. The First Years is rather large, with no way of compacting it down at all.

If you do a search on "booster" or the names, you'll get plenty of responses. It's easy to say that both of these seats are the favourites, and it just depends on which features you want/need to help make a decision.

Good luck!

ETA: Here I did a search while waiting for 24 to come on:

I have the FP and I like it a lot. Kael is almost 20 months, 33" tall, around 24 lbs and still has room to grow. When he outgrows the tray, we'll just push him up to the table.

The tray can be adjusted to 3 lengths which is great. I have the basic Safety First booster at MIL's and its tray only has one slot so we couldn't use it from the get-go.

We took this booster with us to restaurants so its portability is great. East to fold down and set up. I also like that the tray has a cover so we were able to bring his bib, spoons, wipes, etc. without having to bring another bag.

I don't have an opinion of the reclining feature since Kael didn't start using the booster until he was 14 months or so, so that feature wasn't needed. I can see how it could come in handy for a younger baby though.

HTH.

We have the FP chair and love it. It's multi-adjustable and attaches easily to a chair. We always take it to restaurants with us.

I have the First Years one and love it. A friend whose large 2.5 year old still uses it every day recommended it and I have no complaints. Easy to adjust, clean everything.
I recommend it!

Another vote for the FP one. We have put away our high chair and now use it for all meals and table activities without using the tray, just push the chair up to the table. HTH

Thank you all for the replies. I think I may go with the FP -- it looks really cute.
