I've noticed online at different places that there are different covers for the Signing Time videos. Is there new stuff on the ones with Rachel (in an orange sweater) on the cover than with the ones with Alex and Leah (blue background)?

Any good deals online? I'm looking for vol 1 on dvd. I already have vol 2. Thanks:)

We have all six volumes. Alex and Leah are on the covers of vol 1-3. Rachel is on the cover of 4-6.

All the videos have different signs. Vol 1-3 feature more of A & L while 4-6 feature more of Rachel teaching the signs.

I'm pretty sure that they just re-packaged the original three volumes to match the covers of volumes 4-6. (To be really clear, volumes 1-3 originally had the blue background, but now they have the orange background to match volumes 4-6.) I don't think that any changes were made to the actual content of volumes 1-3, however.

Thanks so much! That clears it up for me. I guess I hadn't thought that they'd match the covers of vols 1-3 to vols 4-6.

Sorry to barge in here, but I'm curious as to how old your DC were when you started showing them the ST videos? My DD is 3 months this weekend. I don't want to overload her too early...

TIA!

I started at 6 months, but that is when I first heard about them. I would have started earlier. It's close up shots of faces and babies and kids, and slow talking and repetition and music. Babies love that stuff.

Thanks. I've heard so many great things about these videos & I'm looking forward to trying them with my DD.

We started around 9 months because that's when I first heard of them. Now we watch at least one DVD daily. He asks for them (and signs along with them).

We started at 8 months. I don't know if I would have started before 6 months.

BUT they are about to produce a new line that is made for younger babies. Should be out late summer or this fall.
