I just ordered the cutest LLBean little backpack for Logan for under $9 shipped! They have all sorts of styles and sizes on sale, even one that would be a good diaper bag (the little easy pack). I got the "mini patch pack" for Logan in the dragonfly motif. He has been wanting a backpack because Jacob has one, and for this price and with a dragonfly (I love butterflies, dragonflies and bees!) on it- I just had to get it! Julie, LL Bean has fabulous customer service. They are headquartered about 45 minutes from me, and most Maine residents (including me) are very loyal LL Bean shoppers. We joke that the LL Bean Visa (free shipping and monogramming) is the official currency of Maine. I'm glad they were helpful to you. Unfortunately, I like the little bag with the turtle and it's sold out.

We bought the Mini Patch Packs for Mia (daisy) and her best friend (turtle) and had them monogrammed. Now that Mia's - mostly - potty trained, she keeps her crayons, Dora figures, snacks and comfie in the backpack for restaurant and shopping trips.

As far as she's concerned, she's Dora :)

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. Logan has such a collection of things that always travel with us even just to the grocery store- a stuffed monkey, a lovey, various trains... maybe a backback will keep them contained! Is the size right for the little kids?

I haven't received it yet, but the site says it is 11x9x2... so I'm thinking that is about the size of a standard sheet of paper, which should fit him fine. I asked Kimberly H how it fit her daughter, but she hasn't replied back. I'm happy to post pics once we get it!

We got the backpack today, and it is precious!! (And wow was it shipped quick!) Logan wasn't thrilled to have the pics taken, but loved the pack and wanted to wear it all night :)

I am kicking myself for not jumping on this when it was first posted. Logan just won't go for the grasshopper or the ant, I don't think.

I just checked and they now have a red spider and a sky blue shark too. That spider is creepy! LOL

maybe I can convince her the shark is a fishy . . .

Neel and Sarah can match!! We got the dragonfly too. Just ordered it yesterday, and it'll take an extra day with the monogramming (love the LLBean visa). :) Neel will have his own little backpack at Disney.

Where is the shark? I can't find it - wonder if it is sold out again. Alex loves sharks and I would snatch that up in a second.

it looks like the shark and spider sold out. By the time I went back to order it, it was gone. :(

Maybe try calling some of the stores, or see if CS can do that for you. They did that once to locate some sale slippers for me that were sold out online.
