I'm trying to find something special to give Colwyn when the new baby is born. His two big passions are airplanes and crocodiles. Does anyone know of any good plane or crocodile toys that are appropriate for a 21 month old?

I was thinking of getting him the old-fashioned LP airplane off eBay, but I worry that he'll choke on the people. I saw the plane set on Constructive Playthings, but the people with that look like a choking hazard, too.

So, any good ideas?

Does he already have some of those planes from the Jay Jay Airplane line? I saw some in a local shop. They were die cast metal, like the Thomas trains but planes. You can buy plane related buildings for play and storage.

Ok, this is a seriously big present, but it seems to be popular since it's out of stock everywhere. Looks neat to me.

My daughter has this crocodile pull-toy. She liked to pull
it around when she was younger. (She is 3.5 years old now.)
It is wood. Very cute!

It is called the Dancing Alligator. It is made by Plan Toys.

I was thinking Jay Jay too. The ones we have are wooden, with plastic faces and a few other plastic parts.

It's out of stock at the moment but here's a cute little crocodile piano:

What about a wooden airplane?

It would last forever http://www.padilly.com/planes.html

These handmade ones look amazing, and you can get it personalized with his name (or love baby or something like that)

From what I understand, he makes it when you order, so not something to buy last minute. http://www.toanotoyworks.com/airplanes.html#top

Of course the bargain I just posted would also work. The Fisher Price Airport is on clearance at TRU.com http://tinyurl.com/dc9f3

Playmobil 1-2-3 (their line for toddlers) makes both an airplane and a crocodile. I love their stuff as it's really easy for little hands to manipulate.

Those look really neat.. how big are they? I like how inexpensive they are.. they look like they might be good stocking stuffers, too. :)

The people are about 3 inches tall and the croc and plane are maybe 4-5 inches. Not too big but not too small, either! Good idea for stocking stuffers! I really love their toys. They are great quality.

I just saw this item pictured in my new American Baby
magazine and I thought of you.
It is called the Wiggle Walker Wiggly Gator and it is $20.

Here is a picture that I got from the Mary Meyer website.
