I believe Jamie has been traveling for a week or two. If she doesn't respond, give her a few days and bump this up again, or send her an email.

I'm just about to order one, so if you do decide to order it, I just found (from another thread in this forum) a price of $729.00 including shipping.

But like you, I'm also waiting for Jamie to return for a review. :)

She won't be back till the 2nd.

She's at her ILs in the Middle of Nowhere, Pennsylvania. No internet for her!

I did tell her that she was being paged, though ;)

It's actually 810 shipped, but if you haven't joined the club, the first time you do, you get 10% off. I joined for this product, and DH will probably join later if we decide to get some other pricey Little Tike product.

I think in the Little Tikes Playhouse thread, there were some suggestions for getting good prices on these things. I think the next best price I found for this place house was still under $800. I used the Froogle Search Engine and found a few good places.

HTH!

Hee, hee, thanks Marisa! I'm actually waiting for her to get back before I buy the darn thing, although DH and I are pretty convinced we want to get it.

Edited to bump. :)

I think it would be just fine for an 8 year old. My 7 and 9 year old neices enjoyed swinging on it, so it would probably be a good all around choice for the span of ages for your children. We wanted something that would last a while, but didn't want to get a $2k set.

I would recommend adding a toddler swing for Emma. It comes only with the bench swings and a double, so she might prefer the safety of a toddler swing.

We don't use the sandbox or moat. I live in Florida and I'm creeped out at what could be hiding under the sand. It comes with a cover, but it's flimsy. She does use it sometimes, but only after I've raked through it pretty well. The moat just fills with rain, so we keep it unplugged. It's not much of anything, so not a big deal. The slide gets super hot in the Florida sun, but we've been using it as a water slide lately, with a kiddie pool at the bottom, so that fixes that. It must be supervised closely. One side of the clubhouse is completely open. Kayla LOVES climbing up the rope ladder and playing with the steering wheel. She loves the slide and her daily swing. She especially loves when we make it a water slide. Unfortunately, it's do darn hot here, we're not on it as much as I'd like right now. We swing in the evening when it's cooler, but that's usually after bath, so not time to go playing, KWIM?

I got it at http://tinyurl.com/c5btj. Right now it has free shipping, so $749 total. Mine was $700, but that was last year. The free shipping is a great deal IMO.

I hope that was helpful, let us know what you choose.

Here are some pics...the ones with the swing are from last year, but the others were from just this summer.
