I am not even sure that is the right name for them. I want the oil cloths that you can buy to go under craft tables so the carpet does not get ruined. I would like to buy one for our playroom so Julia can paint, etc without the worry.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

You could also buy the yardage at a good fabric store and edge it with pinking shears. I believe the width is wide enough that it would be a no-sew project.

I liked the ones from Sam & Bellie. A bit pricey but I thought the patterns were great & would look good in the house.

I bought mine from this site b/c I liked the Sozo pattern: http://www.mistyjean.com/catalog/item/1837050/1267260.htm
(Mistyjean has good email communication & quick shipping.)

I got ours at http://www.mimithesardine.com/WHATS_NEW/WhatsNew.html .
They have a sale or outlet section with good deals, too.

If you don't care about having a pretty pattern, you could get drop cloths for house painting at Home Depot.

That is what I did, and it worked great! I found the some cute oilcloth at this site:

Bought a few yards for $5/yard, cut the edge with a pinking shear, and it's perfect. The one I got is actually the same one in the landofnod catalog (berry blossom?)

a pinking shear is a scissor that cuts a zigzag... that elimanates fraying in many fabrics... but I think you don't even need to bother with pinking shars for oilcloth
