I'm interested in getting some foam play mats and have been looking at the interlocking puzzle foam mats from Step2 and SoftTiles. Does anyone have any recommendations or know a good place to get them?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Sam's Club has an excellent price on foam mats.

I saw some at Ross. You could also check TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

I have purchased 2 kinds od mats at lowes:
1) Alphabet--price was better than tru but i don;t recall specifics (like thickness)--generic
2) 2 ft sq red/yellow/blue/green (Mohawk)

2 above is thicker than 1 above

I got some at Ross for $10 for 4 interlocking panels. My local one usually has some. They are about 2 feet x 2 feet, solid colors green/red/blue/yellow.

FYI: We have the interlocking mats and our 15 month old dd takes them apart and takes the letter and/or number out of the middle. I can't use them anymore since she won't leave them alone. I even have bigger toys on top of the mats and she manages to get them apart.

We bought ours at Babies R Us.

We have solid color foam mats that don't have cutouts of the alphabet or the numbers. We have colored ones from Target, but they don't carry them anymore. We also have black ones from the exercise section at Target - last I checked they still carried these. I've seen blue foam mats from Step2 at TRU.
