This looks neat and it got pretty good reviews on Amazon, but just thought I'd check here first. We already have the Step 2 sandbox, so we don't need a sand & water table and I don't think I'd want to deal with the sand being made into mud every day anyways, so this looks like a good idea for when it gets hot out. Any comments?

We just got this a couple days ago. This afternoon I'm going to set it up with water in the backyard. So I can post more specific things after some use. Let me know if you have specific questions!

DD loved it at the store. She's almost 1. I figured it's the perfect size for her for at leats this year. I didn't want a sand table, so this looked nice. It was $30 at TRU. There was a 2 yo boy in the store also playing with it, so I gathered it would at least last another year. At DD's age, she won't be able to figure out the water wheel, so at least that will amuse her when she's older.

Some notes:
-There are 2 drain spouts.
-The boats I got don't have sails. If that's important to you, I wouldn't count on getting them. The package says "Boat colors and styles may vary."
-The 2 yo boy kept trying to climb into it at the store and I don't know how sturdy that would be. Perhaps water might deter climbing? (Or perhaps I'm just wickedly naive. LOL.)
-The water-wheel tower is NOT fastened on. It can easily be removed and/or knocked over.

We have one and we really like. DS likes to scoop and pour and can splash in the thing forever. The boats are ueseless. Ours didn't come with sails either and they float upside down in the water. Overall I think it is a fun table for the price. I didn't get a s&w table because we already have a sandbox.

The table can also be used as a sensory table. You can fill it with anything - dried pasta, styrafoam peanuts etc. I've been reading up about them on the internet. Here is a really cool link I found with all sorts of ideas http://www.perpetualpreschool.com/toddlers/centers/sensory_table.htm
I thought the idea of putting goldfish in there and letting the kids fish for them with a net was genious. I plan on doing that next time I am near the petstore.

Forgot to add this website too!

My niece has one of these - she is 18 months - and loves it! It also entertains the 4 year old. Its great for outside in the summer.

We bought this table when Toys R Us had them on sale for $19.99 a couple of months ago. My 2 year old loves it. She actually prefers to play with the water table then going in the pool!

We were just playing with our a few minutes ago. We have a separate sand box and didn't need a sand/water table. This one is great. My ds (18 mo) loves to put the hose in the water wheel tower and watch it go. He also likes to bring sand from the sand box over and dump it in. That's not a big deal because after you drain the water out the sand dries and you can put it back in the sand box. You should know that the boats that come with it are different from the ones pictured. I was originally disappointed that it didn't come with a cover, but we leave the drains open when we're not playing with it so sprinkler and rain water don't accumulate. Have fun.
