That does look interesting. I wonder how it steers and what age group it is intended for!?

It says it steers by moving the steering wheel constantly from left to right. Also they call it a segway for kids. Didn't see it, but appartently it was on the Today Show

Our church has them. DS fell in love with them at a Halloween carnival in 2003. They are a little bit tippy toward the front for a novice, but not too bad. We have something that works similarly called a flying turtle. It sits lower to the ground but moves the same way. The turtle holds up to 150 pounds and will be around forever!

I thought this looked cool too, but then I had second thoughts. I'd rather have pedals so that the kids burn some energy doing it. With the obesity rates going up with kids I want to keep my kids as active as possible (not that it is a problems now since they are toddlers, we have too much activity! lol)

The flying turtle looks like a good idea. Where did you get it and who makes it?

My niece (3 years old) and my nephew (almost 5 years old) each have one and they absolutely love them. I think the kids gets lots of exercise with these because they have to use it on a slope area so they will ride the cars down a slope run up and come down over and over again. Also the adults (my brother-in-laws, and even me) have got on the cars and rode it - pretty fun.

My sister, the world's greatest gift giver, gave the turtle to DS for Christmas. It's outside right now and I'm a weenie about going out alone in the dark, so I have no idea who the manufacturer is. She is a big catalog/internet shopper, and I have a feeling it may have come from this link. I have seen the catalog at her house before. You can google flying turtle and there are lots of links.
