We will be flying in August to visit grandparents. I want to get something that DD will enjoy and is not too bulky to carry around. I'm trying to decide which one to get.

Does anyone have either or other ones to recommend? We will be bringing the magna doodle along and some board books. Any other suggestions in great toys to bring when travelling?

Thanks so much!

I have no input or experience with either of those, but at that age, DS loved the Parents cell phone and the Parents PDA. Both of those can be bought at Target and are easy to take along. I wouldn't say they'll last her a long time, but we could easily buy 15 min with those toys. Make sure you pack lots of snacks, as you will probably use more than you think you will! We did!

We had the LF Phonics Radio and DS loved it at that age. He especially loved carrying it around. However, that said, I don't think it's a good choice for use *on* the plane. It would drive other passengers nuts. I actually think the tunes are rather catchy as electronic toys go, but in a confined space full of people without kids, I think you would get lots of dirty looks.
