We could use some new, quirky tunes for dancin' DS (he's one). Which Ralph's World CD is best? Any other recommendations? TIA!

My favorite Ralph's World is "At the Bottom of the Sea". I just love every song on there. We all dance like crazy to it. We have several others of his, Laurie Berkner, Dan Zanes, Trout Fishing in America, TMBG, and a bunch of other collections like "For the Kids" and "For the Kids 2" which feature several different artists. DH went crazy buying kids music a few weeks ago so I can't even remember all the ones he got.

Thanks, Holli! We have some Dan Zanes and TMBG, as well as the first "For the Kids" -- all great. I will definitely try "At the Bottom of the Sea." I just LOVE to see DS dance! :)

We just discovered Justin Roberts. He sings music that parents can enjoy as well - not just tolerate. We attended his concert at Ravinia (ourdoor music festival in Chicagoland) a few weeks ago and it was great. The CD we have has a yellow bus on the front.

We also love Laurie Berkner here!

Another vote for *At the Bottom of the Sea* here! It's our fave RW album (we have all 5 of his CDs, and have preordered the 2 CDs that will be released next month). The self-titled first CD is also a good bet--we've been listening to that since DS was born. We saw Ralph play at Joe's Pub in NYC last Feb., when DS was 17 mos. old, and had a blast. It was a rockin' gig.

Brady Rymer is another of our favorites. His most recent CD, *I Found It*, has several danceable tunes. My fave is the title track.

CDBaby has long samples, if you want to give him a listen: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bradyrymer4

We love both TMBG CDs. DH likes *Here Come the ABCs* but I prefer *No!*, and DS loves both.

We're not big Laurie Berkner fans. We have *Victor Vito* and *Under a Shady Tree*, and 2 Justin Roberts CDs (including *Yellow Bus*), but find them a bit hard to tolerate on a daily basis--we just occasionally listen to them for variety. Their voices (especially LB) can get on my nerves sometimes, although JR is easier on the ears than LB, but that's JMHO. :) DS loves to dance to the title track of JR's *Way Out* CD.

Oh, you may also want to check out Daddy a Go Go, if you like surf music. Their first 2 CDs (*Cool Songs for Cool Kids* and *Monkey in the Middle*) and their 4th one (*Mojo a Go Go*) are fun. I'd skip the 3rd album (*Big Rock Rooster*), though.

Elizabeth Mitchell's 2nd CD, *You Are My Sunshine*, has some great retro-sounding tunes, reminiscent of Sun Studio artists.

Oh I had no idea Ralph's World was coming out with new cds!! What are the titles, and where did you pre-order them? Ralph's World is by far mine and Lauren's favorites. We have them all!!!

Love them all!
Under the Sea and Ralph's World are our fav's. We have been to many concerts when we lived in Chicago, and since moving to Philly have been to NYC and Philly for concerts.

Jude LOVES the DVD too. It is totally a low budget thing, but he really interacts with it. Thanks to the DVD the Wiggles one is gathering dust.

Need to order the new ones coming out.

For you fans out there....
Jude's latest stunt in the pool or just in the family room is to yell "Faster Faster Faster WIPE OUT" and totally sprawl out on the floor or in the pool or in the tub. He also likes to say "Yo Dude" with Ralph.

To soothe an upset Jude I have to sing Freddy Bear to him. This is the only song that will do the trick. So much for traditional lullabies.

LOL at your DS's stunts! My DS also loves the DVD. If only they'd release another DVD! I think Ralph's World has put out enough albums since *Say Hello*, to warrant making another one, but they only seem to be releasing animated videos (on the MiniFresh website).

Just ordered "Ralph's World," "At the Bottom of the Sea" and "I Found It" -- AND got $5 off at Buy.com. Can't wait to learn the words to Freddy Bear. :)
