dollhouse bookcases?

We would like to get one of these for DD's big girl room, and I'm wondering about sources in addition to Target and Pottery Barn Kids. The one at PBK is beautiful, but $300 is out of our price range. Has anyone had experience with the Target dollhouse bookcase? I was just wondering about the quality of it. Any other stores (online or IRL) that I should check out? Thanks in advance!

I think I recall seeing one in the Company Kids catalog recently. Lots of their stuff looks like PBK.

New Baby Products in Snellville had a floor model on a sale the last time we were there. I think it was made by Battat but I could be just hallucinating. It was much cheaper than the PBK but still cute and it looked sturdy.

TBH, I did my son's room in PBK furniture and totally regret it: it's all nicked up after just a year. But that Target dollhouse bookcase looks brand new and is pretty nice quality (ditto the grandfather clock storage I got there, same era)

Costco sometimes has one--I haven't seen it there in the recent past though.

I saw one at Target IRL. It was unfinished, so you could paint/decorate it yourself. It was MINI, though. Maybe half the size (height and width) of the PBK one.

FWIW, we have the older PBK one (with the green roof). I had to assemble it myself (boo!), but it is very sturdy and well made.

I got one at Target that is white with pink trim. It is darling and I think it only cost around $70.

we have the Target one - LOVE it!

Really nice quality - took a while to assemble, but its REALLY sturdy and strong and SOOOOO cute looking!

Its not quite as wide as the PBK one I believe, but its a nice size - much larger than I expected.

Its also not BRIGHT white and pink .. more of an eggshell or slightly off-white color and pink .. very cute!

We love it - we got ours a few years ago from target.com for like $70 and its been WELL WORTH the price!

I saw the PBK one in their store once and IMHO they feel just as sturdy and nice.

big lots has a dollhouse bookcase now for $50-ish. i saw them at two stores, in the middle aisle, the 'featured' big stuff. IKEA has a bookcase with a pretty scalloped edge that my IKEA has as a display for the dollhouse furniture.

We've had the Target one (http://tinyurl.com/ctyf9) for 2 years now and I adore it. Every time I see the Pottery Barn one I do an evil laugh under my breath because I even think the Target one is cuter, not to mention a TON cheaper. We are moving in 2 days, though, so I hope it doesn't get damaged in the process. I know that pressed wood isn't great for moving (and the movers make no guarantees with pressed wood), so will repost here if it doesn't make it through.

I'm sure the quality isn't close, but I saw one at Big Lots! It's white and has a purple rooftop and is $50.

I do not know if you have a Christmas Tree Shop near you, but they just put out Dollhouse bookcases that are $49. They are white withpastel pink and purple shelves.
