WASHINGTON

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says three makes of folding chairs for children are being recalled.
The voluntary recall involves about one-point-eight (m) million chairs.

The government says children's hands could become entrapped in the hinges or gaps -- causing lacerations or even amputations.
Three companies distribute the colorful chairs: Idea Nuova Incorporated, Fourstar Group Incorporated, and Meco Corporation.
The C-P-S-C says consumers should look at the bottom of the chairs to find the company's name. And the agency recommends contacting the company to find out if that specific model is involved. The remedy could include either a repair kit or a refund.
