My DD really liked books with repetition and rhythm (and still does).

Does a Kangaroo have a Mother Too?
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Brown Bear Brown Bear What do You See? (also Polar Bear)
Goodnight Moon
etc...

Best,
Mary

I can read Mama Mama/Papa Papa all day.

I like Dr. Seuss too.
ETA:
My first book of sushi
The Owl and The Pussycat

I'm trying to think of the ones I can read all day. Those are available in board books.

I also like one any that are parent/child-love-themed (corny, i know!) like:
Guess how much I love you
What daddies do best
You are my I love you

Like one of the previous replies mentioned, rhythm is key.

With that in mind, my friends have had a lot of success with books by Sandra Boynton. In particular, I suggest "Barnyard Dance", which is fun to read repeatedly, especially if you don't mind pretending to be a square dance caller. "Moo Baa La La La" is also excellent, although you may find your children replying to the question "What do piggies say?" with a laughing "LA LA LA!" instead of Oink on occasion. :)

I don't even have my own baby yet, but I've already read them so many times to my friends' and family member's children that I've got them memorized...and still find them amusing. I think that's a good indicator. =)

My son loved these at that age...and still loves most of them....

Goodnight, Gorilla
All Sandra Boynton
Mama, Mama
Papa, Papa
Sheep in a Jeep
Goodnight Moon
Jamberry
Counting Kisses
Mommy Hugs
Daddy Kisses
Pat the Bunny
Is your Mama a Llama?
Big Red Barn
That's not My Puppy
Dinosaur Roar
So Big! (an elmo book, but beware, it has a pop up elmo that my DS loved to rip)

HTH! That is what I could think of off the top of my head!
