Gift ideas needed for 4 year old boy

Hoping you can help since I'm in a pinch...I need an idea for a birthday gift for a 4 year old little guy. Family has Waldorf-oriented parenting style. I can needlefelt, so I thought of making something, but I'm not sure what is right for a boy of 4 (I usually make for a younger crowd-lol). The problem is, I need this for tomorrow, so items I can make quickly, or something (books, craft supplies, etc) I can pick up tonight is key.

I'm not sure if it's too late, but could you make some little play food? Or maybe some animals?
If you're short on time, art supplies are a great present. Or, maybe some musical instruments. I'm pretty sure Target has some in the toy's section.

For kids that age, I usually head to Michaels and get a craft kit for a four-year-old.
