I don't recall seeing these discussed here before. My favorite local boutique has a couple of them in and I had to rush home to see the others. WOW! There are so many and at such a good price!

Artic & Space sets (I got the Artic set at Hearthsong last season; I just realized it was the same one!)

Wow! Those are very cool and so reasonably priced. I remember seeing the Arctic one at Hearthsong but I had no idea there were so many different ones. DS doesn't seem to be too interested in the Woodland Fantasies one we have yet though, so I may wait a bit.

Yea, the Woodland Fantasies are in the attic for future gifts, but I'm worried these will suddenly be discontinued!

I emailed the company to suggest a few other themes and to see if they'd be willing to host a co-op. :)

Those are really cute and very reasonably priced. I also remember seeing the Arctic one at Hearthsong.

Holli - How are they quality wise compared to the Woodland Fantasies playsets?

I'll definitely be interested in a co-op.

They're different than the Woodland Fantasies. They are smoother, more refined looking, if that makes sense. The Woodland Fantasies ones are a bit rougher but I think are made out of a hardwood so seem a bit sturdier. I think they are made out of rubberwood and are fully painted.

Of course neither of them are as breathtaking as Holztiger or Ostheimer but neither are the prices. :)

Ooh! If you're successful with forming a co-op, I'd probably be interested. :)

Right, like I don't obsess over enough stuff that all of you women are always going on about. ;) They are really adorable. I'll have to bookmark the site as well. I have to say, they do seem reasonably priced. Also I love Hearthsong. There used to be a B&M store near me. My mom and I could spend hours there.

Those are so cute!! Noah would love the zoo set. Like you, I have the Woodland Fantasies sets in the closet. He will be two next month but is still too young. However these sets look much more "user friendly". They look really similar to the Kinship set I bought him for Easter. I don't know if they are the same company but he loooves the set. He plays with them along side his trains. http://tinyurl.com/9fsdh

Hey, I have that set stored in the attic too! LOL. Yes, I think the quality is similar to it.

Wow, I heard back from the company owner already, and she said she would definitely consider a co-op for us. She was really sweet, and she asked me for my recommendation on what would work best for us. :)

What kind of (reasonable) deal would you guys like to see?

She also said that they were coming out with an Australia, Florida, and likely a Southwestern set next year. :) Yay!

Yes, CO-OP!!! Woo-hoo. 20-30% off would be really nice.

I'd probably bite at 10-15% off, especially if she threw in free shipping. . . . Thanks!

I saw these on a website last week and was going to post about it and then got distracted. Would love to get a co op price too.

I agree with PPs. 20%-30% off and free shipping would be great.

I think that free shipping and some sort of discount would be great. I'd probably like to see at least 15%, but I wouldn't mind a bigger one! ;)

I'm in love! These sets are adorable! Right up DS's alley.

I'd certainly be interested in a co-op - the PPs' suggestions of 20-30% and free shipping would be great!

Thanks for pointing these out!

We might be in depending on the discount. I think it is tough for most retailers to give more than 20% off but of course, that would be lovely. Perhaps they would consider a graduated discount? If we bought X number of sets as a group, maybe they'd consider raising the percentage off? Or if individuals bought more than one set, maybe they could qualify for a greater percentage off?

and of course, free shipping is always nice :) Thanks for pointing these out...sigh...another thing on my wish list ;)

Holli,

I would be interested in a co-op or group discount! :)

I hope it works out! Thanks for showing us the wooden

Hmmm..us too! Brig is at the right age for these now and loves little people/animals, etc. In his world animals even drive his fire trucks! ;)

No, I had emailed her with my suggestions but in her first email to me she said she was swamped for a couple of weeks with some gift shows and apologized in advance if it took her time to get back to me with details.

I promise I'll let you all know!

Animals are licensed in Charlie's world too - except that if a cow is driving the fire truck, it says "Woo Woo Moo" - a duck "Woo Woo Quack" - and my favorite "Woo Woo Baby ChaChi" - when his favorite doll is driving. Pretty funny.

Holli,

I would be interested in at least one set (maybe more depending on the discount). I hope you hear back from her!

Completely interested here as well in a co-op. I was just looking at different sets for my DD for Christmas!

Vajrastorm
09-17-2005, 04:51 PM
A bigger version of it, actually, but it is obvious to me that it is the same company. I bought mine new in the box at a baby swap meet last year.

We love them. They are one of dd's favorite toys, and are played with daily. I often find them lined up on the dining room table. LOL.

Not that we need more toys, but if a co-op materialized I may *have* to expand our collection.

Oh, I'm in on a co-op - I like the zoo set to start with. I do hope they create an Australia set like a PP said. I want Barrett to know the animals I grew up with, kangaroos, koalas, kookaburras etc.

Let us know Holli.
Thanks

Would someone else be interested in trying to arrange a co op? I hope she doesn't mind my posting this, but I got an email from Holli this week and I want to mention that she's got a lot on her plate right now. Hence, she hasn't been around on the boards much and I don't expect her to be for a while.

I just didn't want everyone to be wondering where she went. She, Mari and Liam are all fine she's just got a lot going on right now.

Perhaps someone else might be willing to try to arrange for a co op?

Thanks, Beth! :) Just an FYI, I have sent the woman 2 or 3 additional emails and just have not heard back from her.
