Maybe it is having boys (sorry to specify gender but I do think there is a difference in how they treat things then girls for the most part...nothing to debate just explaining why I wrote boys)...but I do not care for their products.

Money is an object here so I do have the KidKraft market (I am pretty certain it is KidKraft) it looks KidKrafty looking...but when I see these sturdy wood ones (granted 10 times what I paid I think) I just remember how much I dislike the KidKraft that I have.

Neve! Your family is beautiful!

I'm about to be *surprise*, Joolsplus3 (In February), so I'm hitting all the other boards in case anything has changed in the last 6 years since I had a baby :)

Anyway...well, that kidcraft stuff looks cute (???), but I don't mind learning from your experience with it, lol.

I hate that the toaster, mixer, and blender I have are pastel colors. Drives me nuts especially with how the grill and cash register are dark and boyish. Can't they all just be neutral colors?

With that said, aside from some velcro coming off the food, it has all held up very well-not even paint chips. So I guess over all I am happy.

I have seen the the KidKraft grocery stand online. I was jealous of the canopy and food storage as our stand doesn't have those details, but if its not sturdy, I could see how you wouldn't like it!

Thanks, you guys! I announced over on the car seat board (where else! LOL) so everyone there has known for a week or 2.
I didnt' make it to the OB till I was 15 weeks along (I guess I'm 16 weeks, now), and the ultrasound showed everything fine and dandy so far (the scale? not so much...I'm a moose! lol)

I'll have to think about changing my name... I'd be sad to lose my zillion posts and rating score! lol.

I'm not sure, Neve. We only have one KidKraft item and DS really likes playing with it, but I am not impressed with the quality. When it arrived, some pieces were either broken or the paint was *really* messed up. I e-mailed it and received replacement parts right away that weren't damaged. However, there are some paint chips that no one but the company put there. I tend to be a perfectionist so this bothers me. As DH pointed out, DS will make the paint chip soon himself (and he's probably right) but it bugs me to buy something new that's not perfect. Overall style and cuteness is high. Quality manufacturing is low, I think, at least with my one experience.

My DH is always making fun of me b/c I can't stand all the chips in the M&D wooden food that we have and I put them on the back of the shelf, hidden. I think I would have been like you and wanted to take it back, lol!

We only have the blender and I do have girls so overall I'm happy with it. I don't like how everything is a bit too pastel though, I don't mind for me but in general for marketing it should be more neutral. Boys play with this stuff too!! We haven't had it long so I can't say for long term quality but I don't see it lasting forever.
