Video baby monitor?

Sometimes I think that is the only reason he wants to have a kid: the gadgets. :P It's not that I don't see the usefulness, but $180 for a baby monitor? Has anyone actually used one of these?

i heard that this one w/ the handheld screen is really hard to see. i bought the Summer Baby one when Max was about 5 months old and i LOVE it! My cousin saw mine and ran out to buy one the same day. i love seeing what he is doing in his crib. it is SO entertaining!

i originally saw dr. phil suggesting them for older kids who repeatedly get out of bed at night, etc. I never knew what funny stuff Max did in his crib before and consider it one of our best purchases!

summer now makes one w/ TWO cameras for tow kids/two rooms etc. I'll be trading up next time around.
